Three-quarter front offside view of an LGOC Knifeboard horse bus, fitted with a curving staircase and shoe brakes on rear wheels. The top deck of the bus is crowded with men wearing bowlers or top hats, accompanied by a few women passengers. The bus conducror stands at the rear of the vehicle. Residential houses stand in background, according to information on print, the photograph was taken outside 'The Horns' public house at Kennington. The route codes on the front of the vehicle, KP & KC denote the route between Kensington Park and Kennington Church. The additional boards on the side of the vehicle, Olympia -Hammersmith, imply the vehicle was operating a special extension route to an event at Olympia. The U is the stable code
