A woman, young girl (partly obscured) and man waiting in a bus/coach passenger roadside shelter at Hadley Highstone (Great North Road); the man is sitting beneath a bus route map, with information boards on the side panel to his right. A bus stop post with two flags stands to the right of the shelter, and a police telephone box to the rear. The obelisk, background right, commemorates the Battle of Barnet (1471). Twin telephone poles, with bracing struts, are also prominent.
