Poster; These vehicles are carrying 69 people, by Heinz Zinram, 1965

Let's all hop on a bus : Cars make poor use of urban road space compared with buses, as they often carry only one person. This clever London Transport poster made the point very effectively in 1965. The contrast would be even greater today: a modern double-decker can carry up to 95 people.
